When you check a patient in for their appointment, ChiroUp EHR will automatically create an encounter and a purchase— both specific to that patient and their appointment.
There are two ways to check in a patient in ChiroUp EHR.
Option 1: Kiosk
When a patient enters their phone number into the kiosk, they will be checked in for their appointment. This is the recommended check in method because the kiosk will prompt them to complete their subjective surveys and any other outstanding surveys.
Option 2: Check in button
On the patient's appointment panel, you can click the Check in button to check the patient in for their appointment. If you check in a patient from the appointment panel, they will receive either an email or text (depending on their preferred contact method) requesting that they complete their subjective survey for that visit.
When a patient is successfully checked in, you'll see confirmation on the appointment panel as well as a green check on the appointment block.
