Sending & Receiving Patient Text Messages

ChiroUp's Two-way Texting……Coming Soon! 


If subscribed to Two-way Texting, you can send texts to patients in two places in ChiroUp - either in the primary Messaging module or individually in each patient record! 

Texting is inherently insecure. Remind patients not to include protected health information (PHI) or discuss their health status via text.


Here's where you can view, send, & receive all clinic Text Messaging: 

Navigate to the Messaging module in your left-side navigation panel. 


Here's how to view, send, & receive Text Messages with a specific Patient: 

In their patient record, navigate to the Messaging tab. 


Here's how to send a text message to a patient: 

Type out your message in the Message bar, then click the arrow to send! 

(Hint: Click the Enter button on your keyboard to send the message)

 

💡Pro Tip: Create and use macros to efficiently send messages to patients! 


Here's what it looks like when you receive a patient text message:

You'll see a notification badge showing the number unread messages you have.

 

Once you open Messaging, you'll see your unread messages are indicated with a blue badge.


💡Pro Tips:

  • Patients can send images that you can download to view, but Two-way Texting does not currently support sending images to patients. 
    • If a patient wants to text a picture of their ID or Insurance card, you can instead send a survey request for either the Photo ID or Insurance surveys where they can upload these photos!
  • Two-way Texting does not currently support group messaging or mass texts
  • Two-way Texting is currently restricted to U.S. phone numbers only
