ChiroUp EHR works best when paired with a kiosk, however, it is not required. If you choose not to use a kiosk in your clinic there are a few important items to consider:
1) How will patients complete their subjective surveys?
We have designed the Chief Complaint, Interim, and Re-exam surveys to integrate into the subjective portion of your SOAP note. The Interim and Re-exam surveys are only available upon check-in. If you don't have a kiosk in office and want survey results to integrate into your SOAP note, the survey will need to be completed one of two ways:
- When staff checks-in the patient, they will receive a text or email (depending on your patient's preferred contact method) asking them to complete their outstanding surveys.
- OR- the provider can complete the patient's survey on their screen in the Subjective Wizard of that day's encounter.
2) Kiosk is a user-friendly way to complete surveys
If you don't use a kiosk, patients will only be able to complete surveys via text or email. However, using a kiosk is often more effective, as staff can assist with any questions and ensure all outstanding surveys are completed. Completing surveys at home can be challenging for some patients and requests might get lost among other messages. A kiosk provides a straightforward way to ensure all surveys are completed.
3) Kiosks saves your staff time!
When a patient inputs their number, it automatically checks them in for their appointment, and your staff didn't even need to lift a finger!
