Generating a test claim

When onboarding with TriZetto, you will need to generate and submit a test claim before you can start submitting live claims. This article will walk you through how to generate a test claim. 

Note: Only users onboarding with TriZetto will need to generate a test claim. 


Note! 

You must have your clinic billing profile and provider billing information completed before generating your test claim. 

 

 

Here's how to generate a test claim: 

1) Select the Billing tab located in the left-side panel and navigate to Claims. 

2) Click the Generate Test Claim button. 

 

3) Select the appropriate billing profile and click Generate Test Claim

 

4) This will automatically download your test claim to your computer. You can now manually upload this test claim file to TriZetto as directed by your TriZetto rep. 

Here are the steps on how to upload this into TriZetto: 
1. Log into your TriZetto Provider Solutions Client Portal

2. Navigate to Send/Receive Files > Switch to Alternate Send Methods > Send Claims

3. Select Choose File or Browse to locate the saved test file on your system

4. Click Open, then Upload

5. Once the file is successfully uploaded, TriZetto will email the test results within 24–48 hours.

 

💡Pro tip: 

If you receive this error message, reach out to your onboarding rep. It means we might need more information from you before you can generate your test claim.
