ChiroUp sends out a variety of text/email notifications to patients— delivering surveys and appointment reminders and notifications. Here is a summary of all the notifications that go out to patients, if you have enabled the appropriate setting in your Scheduling preferences.
Hint: Set your clinic default communication method in Clinic Settings > General.
➡️ Appointment reminder: 24 hours before an appointment
- Enable this setting in your Scheduling Preferences
- When this setting is enabled, your patients will receive a text 24 hours before their appointment reminding them about their appointment.

- This is what the text notification will look like:

- You can see that the reminder has been sent to the patient in the Activity Log of their appointment panel:

➡️ Appointment reminder & CCS Request
- When the above appointment reminder setting is enabled, new patients will receive both their appointment reminder and their Chief Complaint Survey request at the same time.

➡️ Appointment Scheduled Notification
- When you schedule an appointment, you can click the Save & Notify button to notify the patient that the appointment has been scheduled. You can think of this like a digital appointment reminder card

- This is what the Appointment Scheduled Notification will look like:

- When you Request Info from the appointment panel, your patient will receive a notification to complete the requested surveys.

➡️ Appointment Canceled Notification:
- Enable this setting in your Scheduling Preferences.
- When this setting is enabled, the patient will receive a notification when their appointment has been canceled.

💡Pro tips
- The text notifications come from a no-reply number. If a patient attempts to reply to the text, they will receive the following message:

- Condition reports are always emailed to patients, even if their preferred communication method is text.
