Scheduling Appointments as a User

Here is how to schedule an appointment: 

1) Open the appointment panel one of three ways: 

  • Double click a time slot on the schedule
  • Use the New Appointment button
  • Use the treatment drop-down arrow next to the New Appointment button (then, select a treatment type to show all available slots on the schedule.) 

 


Once you’ve opened the appointment panel using any of the methods above, follow these steps to schedule the appointment:

1) Search and select an existing patient or add a new patient using the (+) icon. 

2) Confirm appointment details: date, request info (if applicable), clinician, room (if applicable), track, treatment, start time, and duration.

A first-session patient appointment requires a clinician and a treatment type. 

3) To add a second session to the appointment (to book an additional room or treatment with another provider, for example), click the + icon under the first appointment slot. 

Then, add appointment details for the second session. 

Note: Additional appointment sessions require either a clinician or room (or both). Treatment type is also required. 

 

4) Click Save. (Or, click Save & Notify to send a notification to the patient notifying them of the scheduled appointment). 

 

💡 Pro-tips:

  • For existing patients, the clinician name will auto-populate based on the clinician saved in the patient record.
  • The patient Track will auto populate based on the Track's associated treatment and provider.
  • Unless you are scheduling by treatment type, the “Treatment” will populate the default treatment type selected in your scheduling preferences. 
  • Remember to confirm the treatment type!
  • Duration will always populate based on the selected treatment type. Adjust duration as needed.
  • Info (surveys) requested from the appointment panel will auto-populate into the corresponding SOAP note!
