Texting & Spam or Unknown Numbers

When you receive a text from an unknown number that is not associated with a patient in your account, you can either hide the conversation or create a patient record and assign the number to it.

Here's how to Manage Spam or Unknown Text Messages:

📲 Hide Messages

Hiding messages is most useful for spam texts. Although you can't block numbers, you can hide them from your view.

Click the ellipsis icon at the top of the text message screen and select Hide conversation

Confirm that you would like to hide the conversation.

If you receive additional text messages from a conversation you've hidden, you won't see those new texts display on your main texting view. Instead, you can filter to show Hidden Messages.

📲 Create Patient

Create a patient record for an unknown number when it’s a potential new patient reaching out.

This will open the Add Patient window. Enter patient details (First Name, Last Name).

Link the number to an existing patient record when the number belongs to a patient but is different from the one currently on file.

This will open the Search Patients window. Search for and select the patient you want to link to this number.
