Insurance Policy Report

The Insurance Policy Report in ChiroUp providers an overview of all patient insurance policies with options to filter by payor, type, referrals, authorization, end date, & more. 


To access the Insurance Policy report, navigate to Reporting on the left side navigation bar and then to Billing > Insurance Policy. 

 

Filters Available: 

You can filter the Insurance Policy report based on the following criteria: 

  • Payor: Filter to see all policies with a specific payor
  • Patient: Filter to see all policies for a specific patient
  • Insurance Type: Filter to see policies that are primary, secondary, or other
  • Policy Status: Filter to see active and inactive policies
  • Policy End Date: Filter to see policies with a specific end date
  • Discipline: Filter to see policies that have discipline-specific benefits added
  • Referral Required: Toggle ON to only return policies that have a referral number saved
  • Prior Auth Required: Toggle ON to only return policies with a Prior Auth number saved
  • Has Outstanding Claims: Toggle ON to only return policies with claims outstanding (the number of claims will show in the Claims column of the report)

 

Column Overview: 

  • Payor: Payor name and policie details (Type, Member ID, Plan/Group, Remaining Coverage, Remaining Deductible, Active Status) 
  • Patient: Patient with whom the policy is associated
  • Benefit: The discipline with which the benefit on the policy is associated
  • Treatments: Remaining number of Treatments & Max Treatments
  • Referral: If the patient has a referral number entered, this field will return “yes”
  • Prior Authorization: If the patient has a prior authorization number entered, this field will return “yes”
  • Claims: The number of claims outstanding on this policy. Click the green arrow to view the claims.
