When texting with patients who share the same phone number (such as family members), the text conversation is shared across all patient records associated with that number.
For example, if a mother and son share the same phone number, the conversation you see in each of their individual records and in the main Messaging module will be the same.
When you message with a phone number that is shared between patients, you'll see a number badge indicating the number of patients who share this phone number. Click on the number to see which patients share this conversation!
💡 Pro Tip:
Patients who share a phone number also share SMS consent settings. If one patient is opted in or out of Transactional and or Marketing messaging, that consent setting will apply to all patients who use the same phone number.
