Scheduling preferences

You have the option to customize your preferences for scheduling— including settings for appointment notifications, booking restrictions, and other features.

First, you'll want to access your preference settings. Navigate to the profile icon in the top right corner and select Clinic settings. From here, navigate to the Scheduling tab. 

 

Here's a breakdown of the survey preferences: 

Same-day Scheduling

By default, patients may not schedule same-day appointments. Toggle ON Same-day Scheduling to allow patients to schedule appointments as soon as two hours in advance on your online scheduling site

 
 

Notification: Appointment Scheduled

If this is toggled ON, the patient will receive a notification whenever they schedule an appointment using your online scheduling site. 

If you would like to notify patients when staff schedule an appointment, staff should select Save & Notify instead of Save when scheduling the appointment. 

 
 

Notification: Appointment Rescheduled

If this is toggled ON, the patient will receive a notification whenever they reschedule their appointment online. 

If you would like to notify patients when staff reschedule an appointment, staff should select Save & Notify instead of Save when rescheduling the appointment. 

 
 

Notification: Appointment Canceled

If this is toggled ON, the patient will receive a notification whenever their appointment is canceled.

 
 

Notification: Appointment Reminder

If this is toggled ON, the patient will receive a notification whenever their appointment is 24 hours away. 

 
 

Appointment Cancellation Policy

This is where you can restrict how far in advanced a patient is able to cancel their appointment from the online scheduling site. When set to no restriction, the patient my cancel an appointment at any time. 

 
 

Appointment default treatment & duration

When a patient schedules an appointment on the online scheduling site, this treatment and duration will be selected by default. The patient has the ability to select other treatment types depending on what treatments you've selected for online scheduling in your disciplines and treatments.

 
 

 

💡Pro tips: 

  • By default, patients may not schedule same-day appointments from your scheduling site. Enable Same-day Scheduling to allow patients to schedule appointments as soon as two hours in advance. (Staff are able to schedule appointments at anytime). 
  • Set an appointment cancellation policy to restrict up to which time a patient may cancel their appointment from the online scheduling site.
  • Select a default treatment and duration to populate when scheduling an appointment.
