Blocking a provider's schedule

When a provider won't be available during their normal hours, you can add in a Date Override to gray-out their schedule so that staff can easily remember which dates/times a provider is unavailable. 


Here's how to block out dates and times on a provider's schedule: 

1) Navigate to the profile icon in the top right corner and select Clinic settings.

 

2) Select the Users tab and then click Schedule for the provider whose calendar you want to block. 

 

3) Scroll to the bottom to the Date Overrides section. Enter any date/times in which the provider is not available. This will gray-out that portion of the schedule for that provider as a reminder to staff not to book appointments during that time. 

 


Note! 

Users still have the flexibility to book appointments during any blocked out dates/times as needed. The schedule is grayed out only as an indicator to staff that the provider is unavailable.
