The Patient Credits report helps you identify patients with available account credits so you can easily apply those credits to unpaid balances.
Here's how to work the Patient Credits report:
1. Access the report by navigating to Reporting > Billing > Patient Credits.

2. The report will display all patients who currently have a credit available on their account.
Note: This report only includes unapplied payments (credits). Payments that have already been applied to an overpaid balance will not appear on the Patient Credits report.

3. From this report you can either Apply the patient's credit to an outstanding balance or Refund the credit to the patient.
🚀 Apply a credit towards a outstanding balance:
- Click Apply.
- The payment screen will open where you can pick where you would like to apply the patient's credit. Select the outstanding balance, including how much credit you would like to apply to the balance.
- Click Apply Credit.

🚀 Refund a Credit back to the patient:
- Click Refund.
- Select the payment(s) you would like to refund.
- Confirm Refund amount and Method.
- Note: If you use NCMIC Pay, refunding via Credit Card will refund the patient's card.
- Click Refund.
