Merging Patients

Merging patient records consolidates information from duplicate patient records into a single record. Users can still access all past activity from each record within the merged record— including encounters, transactions, communications, insurance policies, appointments, and memos.

Click either option to find out how to merge patient records:

Merge duplicate records when adding a new patient: 

1) When you add a new patient and there is a potential duplicate in the system, ChiroUp will alert you and provide the option to merge the patients at that time. 

 

2) Check the box of the patient(s) you would like to merge. 

3) Click Create & merge.


Or, to bypass, do not check a box, and select Create anyway. 

 
 

Merge duplicate records of existing patients:

1) Select the Admin tab located in the left-side panel and choose Merge patients.

 

2) ChiroUp recognizes which patient records could be potential duplicates and sorts the records accordingly. Select which patients you wish to merge, and click Merge Selected.

 

3) Review and Confirm merge.
