Team Chat

Team Chat makes it easy to quickly connect with other users in your ChiroUp account. Whether you’re updating a team member on a patient’s care during a visit or staying in sync with your staff, communication stays seamless without ever leaving ChiroUp.

Here’s where you can view, send, & receive all clinic team chats:

Navigate to the Team Chat module in your left-side navigation panel. You can also click the icon in the top-right corner to access chat at any time without leaving your place in ChiroUp.

Pro-Tip!

You can also move the Quick Chat button anywhere on your screen that best fits your workflow for easy, convenient access.

 

 


Direct Messaging: 

Use direct messages to communicate one-on-one with another user or a group of users. 

Click New Message, then select the user or users you would like to message.


Channels: 

Channels are designed for ongoing communication around specific topics or teams.

To create a channel, click Create Channel and add the appropriate users.

💡 Pro-Tip: 

You’ll have the option to name the channel, add a description, set it to public (anyone can join) or private (invite-only).

 

Communicating in Team Chat:

When sending a message in Team Chat, you have the ability to: 

  • Attach files
  • Mention other users
  • Mention patients (which will take you directly to their patient record within the platform)! 
  • Send emojis
  • Add hyperlinks
  • Standard formatting options to customize your messages.
  • Notify a user via email when a message is sent
  • Send urgent messages

Here's what it looks like when you receive a chat:

You'll see a notification badge showing the number of unread messages you have.
 

 

Once you open Team Chat, you'll see your unread messages are indicated with a grey badge.

 

💡Pro Tip:

Urgent messages will show as red instead of grey!

 

Chat Settings

To personalize your chat and notifications, click your profile icon at the bottom of your screen, then select Chat Settings. 

From here you can customize: 

  • Your Display Name
    • This is the name that will appear in Team Chat when chatting with other users 
  • Chat Button visibility 
    • This refers to the Quick Chat button at the top of your screen
    • Choose whether its always visible, only when there is an unread chat, or always hidden
  • Notification Sound
    • Choose whether sound notifications play for all chats, only urgent chats, or no chats 
    • Select which sound plays when you receive a new chat
  • Toast Notification 
    • Indicate whether you would like to see chats pop-up on-screen when received allowing you to view the message right away 
    • Choose if you would like for chat notifications to auto-dismiss 

Set your status in Team Chat:

You can set your status so other users on your account can see it. You’ll be able to set your status as Active or Away, name your status, and choose when it will clear.
