Flag and Add Notes to Claims

When managing claims, you can flag certain claims or add notes to the claim for internal reference. This is helpful when a claim may be missing a piece of information, or needs to be revisited later! Please note that claims flags and notes in ChiroUp are for internal reference only— this will not attach any additional information to the claim.

Here's how to add a note to a claim:

1. From the Claims screen, locate the claim to which you’d like to add a note.

2. In the Notes column, click the Note icon. This will open up the notes screen.

3. Click +Add.

4. Enter note and click Save.

5. You will see that the note has been saved and that the author and date/time has been recorded.

When a claim contains a note, the Notes icon on the claim will highlight Orange. The notes button on the claim itself will also highlight when there is a note.

Here's how to flag a claim:

1. When viewing the Claim screen, click on the flag icon at the top.

A flagged claim will display an Red notes icon in the claim screen:

You can also filter your claims view to show all flagged claims:

💡 Pro Tip:

When you flag a claim, the corresponding ERA response is automatically flagged as well.

You can flag or unflag a claim from either the claim itself or the ERA. Updating the flag in one location will automatically reflect in the other.
