Your claims management screen displays customizable Claim Action Cards to help you prioritize which claims need your attention. This article will walk you through what each action card means and how to customize them.
💸 Claim Action Cards: What They Are & Where to Find Them
Your Claim Action Cards are displayed in your main Claims screen under Billing > Claims.
There are 4 different Claim Action Cards:
- Needs Action: Includes all currently Rejected and Denied claims.
- Need to Submit: Includes all currently Pending and Unsubmitted claims.
- At Risk: Includes all “stagnant” claims that have been sitting in their status for a certain amount of time.
- AR in Flight: Includes all Submitted, Received, and Partially Paid claims awaiting payment.
Note: Claim Action Cards will display the total number of claims that fall into each category, regardless of the Date of Service.

💸 Customize Claim Action Cards:
Click the gear icon on any card to customize what claims are included.

The Needs Action, Need to Submit, and AR in Flight cards, you can customize which claim statuses populate into each card.

Your At Risk card can be customized with your preferred thresholds for defining an at-risk claim.
Claims will fall into the At Risk category when they have not been updated (i.e. status change) within your defined number of days.
- For example, a Rejected claim becomes “At Risk” after 7 days of no action.

💡Pro Tip:
The dollar amount you see on the Needs Action card is based on the total Billed Amount (not allowed) on the claims.
