Yes! ChiroUp offers subscribers a valuable tool for educating and monitoring patients' at-home exercise compliance and response. This monitoring takes place when patients complete their prescribed exercises through the Healthcom.io app or website.
The 2022 Medicare Fee Schedule introduces five new CPT codes for Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM). These codes now enable providers to get reimbursed for collecting "therapeutic data" using virtual patient engagement and monitoring platforms.
ChiroUp, in particular, collects a specific set of remote patient data, which includes the date the prescribed home exercises were completed and the pain level associated with those exercises. The tracking data is sent to the Activity tab located in the patient record when a patient marks the exercises complete in Healthcom.io. Thus, ChiroUp meets the criteria to use the Remote Therpeutic Monitring (RTM) codes. The information stored in the Activity tab can be used as documentation when submitting any of the 5 RTM codes.
ChiroUp also allows subscribers to send functional disability surveys to remotely monitor patients.
