ChiroUp users may elect to implement multi-factor authentication (MFA) in addition to their standard user password. Enabling MFA requires users to provide an additional verification factor (phone number) to gain access to their ChiroUp account. MFA provides a layered defense against unauthorized access. 

Here's how to enable MFA: 

1) Navigate to the profile icon in the top right corner and select User settings.

2) Select Enable MFA under the General tab.

3) Choose your preferred MFA method:

• Authenticator App: Scan a QR code with your app and enter the generated code in ChiroUp
• SMS Text Message: Receive a code via text and enter it in ChiroUp
• Email Code: Receive a code by email and enter it in ChiroUp

Optionally generate recovery codes. Save these codes in a secure place to use in case you lose access to any of your MFA methods. 

Logging into MFA Enabled Accounts:

Each subsequent login will require users to enter the new verification code that is automatically sent to their method (authenticator app, text message, or email).
