Your billing profile contains the information that populates into Box 33 on your claims. You can update this on a per-claim basis, or across a group of claims.
You can view the billing profile currently assigned to a claim in two places:
1. On the claim itself, under the Billing heading:

2. On the related purchase, under the Billing Profile drop-down:

Here's how to update the Billing Profile on a per-claim basis:
1. Navigate to the related purchase, and update the Billing Profile drop-down.
Updating the billing profile on the purchase will automatically update it on the claim as well.

Here's how to update multiple Billing Profiles at once:
1. Navigate to Billing > Claims.
2. On the claims screen, click the ellipsis icon next to the Work Selected and Work Filtered buttons.
3. Select Update Billing Profiles.

4. This will open a screen where you can choose exactly which billing profiles you want to update.
First, set your filters to identify the claims you’d like to modify. Select the rendering provider(s), payor(s), and claim status to narrow down the specific claims.
Note: Only claims in Hold, Waiting, Pending, Unsubmitted, Rejected, or Denied status can be updated to a new billing profile. If you need to update the billing profile on a Submitted, Received, or Paid claim, you’ll first need to mark the claim as Rejected. Once rejected, the billing profile can be updated and the claim can then be resubmitted.
Then, choose the Target Billing Profile, which is the billing profile these selected claims will be switched to.
Click Preview.

5. When you click Preview, you’ll see how many claims will be updated based on your selected filters.
After confirming the details are correct, click Confirm to mass update the billing profiles for those claims.
