ChiroUp.com Privacy Policy 

This privacy policy has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their “Personally Identifiable Information” (PII) is being used online. PII, as described in US privacy law and information security, is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context. Please read our privacy policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how we collect, use, protect or otherwise handle your Personally Identifiable Information in accordance with our website.

Definitions

How do we protect your information? 

Our website is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make your visit to our site as safe as possible. Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive/credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and stored by our PCI-DSS-complaint partner, Stripe. We implement a variety of security measures when a user places an order, enters, submits, or accesses their information to maintain the safety of their personal information. For your convenience, we and or our payment gateways may store your credit card information kept for more than 60 days in order to expedite future orders, and to automate the billing process. 

Do we use “cookies”? 

Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enable the site’s or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. They are also used to help us understand your preferences based on previous or current site activity, which enables us to provide you with improved services. Behavioral Remarketing 

ChiroUp uses remarketing services to advertise on third-party websites to you after you visited our website. We and our third-party vendors use cookies to inform, optimize and serve ads based on your past visits to our website. 

Google 

Google’s advertising requirements can be summed up by Google’s Advertising Principles. They are put in place to provide a positive experience for users. We use Google AdSense Advertising on our website. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our site. Google’s use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to our users based on previous visits to our site and other sites on the Internet. Users may opt-out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google Ad and Content Network privacy policy.

If you choose to link your Facebook page with ChiroUp, the application will process the number of likes that your page has until you choose to unlink to your page. In order to remove this information from ChiroUp, you may unlink your page or contact us to have it manually unliked and your Facebook page ID removed from our database.

Facebook adheres to the Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising established by the Digital Advertising Alliance. Payments 

We may provide paid products and/or services within the Service. In that case, we use third-party services for payment processing (e.g. payment processors). We will not store or collect your payment card details. That information is provided directly to our third-party payment processors, whose use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy. These payment processors adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data Under General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 

If you are from the European Economic Area (EEA), ChiroUp’s legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described in this Privacy Policy depends on the Personal Data we collect and the specific context in which we collect it. 

ChiroUp may process your Personal Data because:

  • The processing is in our legitimate interests, and it’s not overridden by your rights

Retention of Data 

ChiroUp will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies. ChiroUp will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Whenever made possible, you can access, update or request the deletion of your Personal Data directly within your account settings section. The right to object. You have the right to object to our processing of your Personal Data. The right of restriction. You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal information.

The right to withdraw consent. You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time when ChiroUp relied on your consent to process your personal information. Please note that we may ask you to verify your identity before responding to such requests.

COPPA (Children Online Privacy Protection Act) 

When it comes to the collection of personal information from children under the age of 13 years old, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) puts parents in control. The Federal Trade Commission, United States consumer protection agency, enforces the COPPA Rule, which spells out what operators of websites and online services must do to protect children’s privacy and safety online. 

We do not specifically market to children under the age of 13 years old. 

Fair Information Practices 

The Fair Information Practices Principles form the backbone of privacy law in the United States, and the concepts they include have played a significant role in the development of data protection laws around the globe. Understanding the Fair Information Practice Principles and how they should be implemented is critical to complying with the various privacy laws that protect personal information. 

In order to be in line with Fair Information Practices, we will take the following responsive action, should a data breach occur: We will notify you via email or via in-site notification within 7 business days of discovery. 

CAN-SPAM Act 

The CAN-SPAM Act is a law that sets the rules for commercial email, establishes requirements for commercial messages, gives recipients the right to have emails stopped from being sent to them, and spells out tough penalties for violations. We collect your email address in order to:
